Planning my St Patrick’s Day Celebration

Saint Patrick’s Day is Monday, March 17, 2008
While I am at fast at work today I find my mind wondering to the long awaited arrival of Spring and with it Saint Patrick’s Day which is Monday, March 17, 2008 this year. Like so many others, I claim Irish ancestry. Whether I am or not is not as important as the fact that I like to participate in Saint Patrick’s Day festivities. While in college a group of buddies and I always took the night off to party. We wore green, drank green beer and just in general enjoyed the party life. Now with careers and family responsibilities separating us I am trying to make sure that we all still celebrate in style by sending each of them a Wine Basket as their gift for St Patrick’s Day Gift. So do you exchange gifts for Saint Patrick’s Day?

Saint Patrick’s Day Gift Ideas for Family and Friends
Since my neices and newphews are just a bit young for a traditional St Patrick’s Day party I am sending each of them this adorable Shamrock’s Treasure Chest Gift Basket and Singing Leprechaun Bear! I know they will fall in love with this Irish Teddy Bear that dances and sings and also provides lots of cuddles. For my mom, I picked out a Sterling Silver Green Amber Shamrock Pin. My soon to be wife loved this hand forged Lucky Necklace with Garnet Center Stone by Joy O Designs so I am going to surprise her with it as a Saint Patricks Day Gift. I hope to buy some Irish Mint Candies for my co-workers.

Plan to Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in Green Irish Style
So I am going to leave work early to enjoy our local Luck of the Irish Parade and attend a St. Patrick’s Day Party. My community just looks for excuses to have a parade and party. There are probably 20 parades  and hundreds of celebrations and parties each year in this small art and tourist town. I plan to keep my schedule light on the 18th just in case I stay out late and have a little too much fun throwing back a few green brews.  Regardless of your ancestry it is fun to remember your friends, family and even coworkers with Saint Patrick’s Day with Gifts.
